Your complete satisfaction with our products is guaranteed! General merchandise items may be returned or exchanged in their original packaging within 30 days of receipt. Furniture purchases and custom orders are subject to slightly different rules which are described on our terms of sale page. firstwoodworking.com will not refund the shipping charges for returned items nor pay for the shipping of returned items unless the items delivered were either not what you ordered or arrived damaged. In these cases, you must contact our customer service department immediately upon receipt and we will arrange for a pickup of the goods.

Specials & Limited Time Offers

All sales, special offers, and limited time promotions are available for appointed time periods only. They cannot and will not be applied to sales closed before or after such time periods.

Sales Taxes

firstwoodworking.com is not responsible for collecting or submitting sales or use taxes for any states other than the state of New York. The customer is responsible for making sure all required taxes are paid. Each state manages and dictates its own policies and requirements. All terms and conditions contained in this order agreement constitutes our agreement and binding commitment with you, governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of New York and further subject to the rules of binding arbitration.

Delivery And Set-up

Within 7-14 days, subject to your method of payment, you will receive a call from our delivery service which shall arrange a delivery date for your merchandise. There are absolutely no payments made upon delivery (C.O.D.). All purchases must be paid in full prior to delivery.

Dhl, Ups, Federal Express

Items shipped in this manner are typically delivered to your door and do not include in-home setup. If you are not home when your package arrives, the delivery service will leave a slip on your door detailing that company s procedures for having your package re-delivered or picked up. UPS, Federal Express and DHL do not build "Ready to Assemble" furniture, hang mirrors or other items nor do they perform any un-packing of any kind.

How To Return Incorrect Goods

If you received a product that you did not order, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our customer service department and obtain an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number. Our warehouse will only be able to accept return packages clearly marked with an RMA number. Our customer service representative will arrange for a UPS call tag which schedules UPS to come to your home to pick up the subject merchandise.
  2. Pack and seal your return security in its original packaging. Clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the box.
  3. Wait for UPS to come and pick up the package.

Damaged Items

Even though we use professional shippers and movers, accidents do occasionally happen. While we rarely experience this, if you do find a problem, we will make it right.

Any damage or defect must be noted on your signed delivery slip. Most problems can be easily remedied by the visit to your home of a professional furniture repair service at our expense. In the event that the damage or defect cannot be so repaired to new condition, we ll send you a duplicate item at no additional charge.

Damaged items will be replaced for no additional charge to you, they can not be returned or canceled.

Credits To Your Charge Card

Credit card refunds will only be posted to the same credit card used to complete your original purchase. Please allow 2-3 weeks from the shipping date for your account to be credited. If you made your purchase by check or money order, your refund will arrive within 2-3 weeks of receipt of your returned merchandise.
